The Best Coffee Festivals…In Europe!
If, like me, you love coffee, then you will love a coffee festival. Imagine a big space filled with your favourite coffee shops, baristas, latte art competitions, coffee producers, bloggers, youtubers, new coffee machine products…everything to do with coffee!
There can be live music. Games. Panels. Q&As. Everything you can imagine. Just think of comic con…but with coffee! But where can you find these events? I have set out the biggest coffee festivals for you to attend in the UK and Ireland. Plus, a few favourites from around Europe that should be on your bucket list.
First, the biggy, is the London Coffee festival. (https://www.londoncoffeefestival.com/) This four day event is absolutely huge. Situated in Brick Lane, East London, the first two days are known as ‘industry days’ and the next two are for everyone. There are no real limitations on when you can attend, some people attend all four days, and it is a must visit event for anyone associated with the coffee industry. You will pick up new equipment, sample some great coffee, go to discussion panels and just have a great time.
As you are in East London, why not try this tour for after the festival. Jack the Ripper is a cult figure in the East. This tour, and the fantastic tour guides, will really show you the history of that part of the city and will, in detail, showcase the grizzly murders by the Ripper. Next up is the Manchester Coffee Festival (https://www.manchestercoffeefest.com/) For 2024, the event will be held in the Bowlers Exhibition Centre in November. Sign up on the website for details. Possibly the north of Englands biggest coffee festival. There is a real buzz with this place, with live music, brilliant producers and great coffee.
Enjoy the City of Manchester and try out this tour: The Spirit of Manchester Distillery is home to Manchester Gin, Forty-Five Vermouth, One-Eyed Rebel and Manchester Spirit Vodka. Set in the gorgeous grade 2* listed arches that sit underneath Manchester Central in the heart of the city centre, the Spirit of Manchester Distillery is the city's newest and most immersive distilling experience. New kid on the block is the Dublin Coffee Festival (https://www.dublincoffeefest.com/) . You can find some amazing coffee shops, cafes and, indeed, Baristas on the island of Ireland. The dairy products are second to none. But the Dublin coffee festival has just staRted in 2024, and it was a massive success. Book tickets on the link above, and visit Dublin.
After the coffee festival is finished, try out the Guinness Storehouse. It is a fantastic brewery, telling the story of the greatest stout on the planet. Sample a pint of Guinness at the end of the tour on the rooftop pub! you can pruchase tickets via this link: https://tiqets.tp.st/wCLNPkq7
